After many years of automotive
fabrication, we began production of custom sandcars out
of a small two bay garage. Sandwinder was born and it
quickly became apparent that a much larger facility would
be needed. In 1999 we moved into our first professional shop facility of 1800 square feet. Our production rate progressed to about 24 cars a year and after several years the need for more space developed again. In 2003 Sandwinder moved to Phoenix Arizona and into a 5000 square foot shop. We have grown from a two person shop to a six person shop. Our current production rate is 50 cars a year and is continuing to grow. We are supporters of the ASA (American Sand Association ) and donated a Sandrail to ORBA (The Off-Road Business Association) in 2004. We have been featured in several industry magazines and even appeared on the Biker Build Off show on the Discovery Channel. Our first year at the Arizona Sand Expo 2003
we placed 1st in the Spectators Choice Award
and placed 3rd in 2004. |
